Programs:
September - June We offer preschool story times on Fridays at 10:30 am. The children are invited to join us for stories, games, science experiments, crafts, songs, and laughter.
June - August: Summer Reading Programs are offered to both school-age and preschool age groups. Each year there is a different provincial theme and the children register to participate in the programs. At the end of the summer we have a final program where the members receive a certificate of participation.

Partners for Community Literacy
Purpose: To Promote Literacy in the Communities served by the schools of Perth-Andover
Background
The Perth-Andover Partners for Community Literacy arose from a symposium organized by the School Parent Advisory Committee of Andover Elementary School in the Spring of 1998. The symposium was made up of a large group of community organizations and individuals. From that group, our Adhoc Committee was formed to continue the work of the symposium The Adhoc Committee has been meeting monthly since that time.
Goals
raise awareness of the need to promote literacy for the economic, social, and personal well being of individuals and the community.
involve individuals and groups in our community in the promotion of literacy
to educate families, individuals and other care givers about the importance of developing literacy.
promote close cooperation among institutions and groups responsible for literacy.
foster a broader community understanding of the organizations which promote and enhance literacy; such as the library, early intervention and adult literacy programs
broaden literacy resource base for families and individuals within the community.
