The Canadian Cancer Society is looking for volunteers to join the June 1, 2012 Perth-Andover Relay for Life organizing committee. Relay For Life is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer as luminaries are lit around the track, and rally together to fight back against this disease. Please consider supporting us in this 12-hour, non-competitive, overnight event as we come together to raise funds and make cancer history. Your involvement makes a difference.

We are making the most impact against more cancers in more communities than any other cancer charity in Canada. In 2011, Relay For Life events in New Brunswick raised more than $2.9 million. Funds raised from the event go towards funding research on all types of cancer, offering supportive care services to people living with cancer, providing comprehensive cancer information, promoting prevention strategies and advocating for healthy public policies.
We need volunteers to help plan the Relay for Life event and join fundraising teams. Volunteering with us is a great opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, be part of a team, share your experience, learn new skills and develop lasting friendships.
Our next committee meeting is January 25th at 6:30pm at the Tobique Plex in Plaster Rock.
